IELTS stands for the International English Language System. It is the world's leading English proficiency test. IELTS is owned by British Council, IDP: IELTS Australia and Cambridge English Language Assessment. Exams are offered through more than 900 test centres and locations in over 130 countries. There are two types of tests: The Academic Module - This is designed for people who wish to embark on a university or college course in an English speaking country. The General Training Module - This taken by people who want to migrate or find employment abroad.
Oxford IELTS online course uses our video and content player to deliver course material. In every unit of the course you'll find video, text, downloads and various activities to ensure what you learn makes a real impact on your IELTS score. In addition to the exam preparation course we also offer a sample pack of tests that could be taken online as many times as you wish online. These tests are timed to simulate real exam conditions.
No. We recommend that anyone preparing for the IELTS exam takes classroom lessons to make sure that they reach a confident level with their English language. The Oxford IELTS exam preparation course is geared for English learners who wish to improve their band score on sitting IELTS. We also offer the Oxford IELTS Classroom Preparation Course. This course is currently available at our school in London. This course consists of two to four 50 minute lessons and students will have one to three 10 minute breaks. The maximum group size is 15. Students will be required to purchase the course book. Classes run every Monday to Friday, 9am - 12pm & 4pm - 6pm. The cost of this course is €860.
Oxford IELTS online preparation course provides its students with flexibility. Students can choose to take the course over 45 days or if needed over 90 days. Students can choose the units they wish to study first. The course contains approximately 20 hours of academic study.

Yes! The IELTS test papers are offered in a pack of ten. Once purchased, students can practise the test and re-sit the test as many times as they wish. The test packs are offered in both reading and listening modules. This would allow you to find out exactly how you would do on your IELTS exam if you took the exam today.
Depending on the course that you have purchased you will have either 45 days or 90 days to complete the course from the time you register. During this time you will have access to all materials. Please note that this course contains approximately 20 academic hours of study.
The Oxford IELTS preparation course is aimed to provide students with an understanding on how to tackle the IELTS exam and to achieve your best possible results. The course will prepare students with hints, tips and advice on the best strategies for sitting the IELTS exam and can improve your score by one or two bands. This however is completely depending on the individual learner.
During your allotted study time you will have full access to all of the material. Once your study time has expired you will no longer have access to the material. If you'd like to revise your work, contact us about arranging a study extension on your course access. This would be very useful in the run up to sitting your IELTS exam.
A digital copy is available online for students to download and print.
Yes! There is a small fee to extend your course access time and this can be paid from within your virtual campus account. To arrange a study extension visit the Secretary tab and follow the steps. Should you need assistance extending your study time don't hesitate to contact us.
